AMEA accredits and certifies its metalworking machinery appraisers through continuing education and written tests, and develops industry standards."

Mr. Michael Feinstein

Mr. Michael Feinstein, President of Universal Metalworking Equipment, Inc., in Houston, Texas, is a 30-year veteran of the used capital equipment industry, concentrating in used metalworking machinery. His business extends throughout the United States and into Latin America. For the past 25 years, Michael has held numerous leadership roles on the Board of Directors of the Machinery Dealers National Association (MDNA), the largest used equipment dealer organization in the world. He served as president of Machinery Information System/LOCATOR Services, publisher of the industry's leading print and online directory of used machinery on offer.

In 1997, Michael was awarded the Earl Elman Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his distinguished and outstanding service to the industry. Michael currently is the President of the MDNA. He has earned a Bachelor of Business degree in accounting from the University of Texas in Austin. He has also earned his designation as a Certified Equipment Appraiser through the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA).

Michael has earned the designation of Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer (CMTSE) through the American Machine Tool Distributors Association (AMTDA). He has also passed a course in Uniform Standards Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP).
